Linux configuration for SAP (shortest steps)

1 - On shell run this command:

make folders:

# mkdir sapdb

# mkdir sapmnt

# mkdir /usr/sap

permissions:

# chmod –R 777 /sapdb

# chmod –R 777 /sapmnt

# chmod –R 777 /usr/sap

2 - # yast2 –i cryptconfig libgcrypt-devel-32bit libmcrpt libmcrypt-devel libxcrypt-devel

3 - # rpm –i saplocales_2.4-2.x86_64.rpm

4 – shell command type: # vi /etc/profile ………. Add above lines and than # :wq

JAVA_HOME=/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.6.16

export JAVA_HOME LD_ASSUME_KERNEL

PATH=$PATH:/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142/bin

export PATH

5 - # vi /etc/services …….. after putting # before above mentioned port line type # :wq
